Big events need big spaces. Here’s a look at five of the largest venues in South Moravia that can already accommodate hundreds or even thousands of visitors. And that’s not all – we’ll finish with three venues currently under construction that are already promising to take event production to the next level.
1. BVV Exhibition Centre: capaticy 40.000 attendees
The Brno Exhibition Centre is an icon that earned Brno the nickname “the trade fair city.” Its story began back in the 1920s as a dignified showcase for industry and enterprise. Today, it ranks among the largest exhibition complexes in Central Europe – and its significance is far from just historical.
Every year, it hosts dozens of events of all sizes, from specialized training sessions and conferences to international trade fairs attracting more than 40,000 visitors a day. The variety of spaces is exceptional: 15 pavilions and extensive outdoor areas make it possible to stage events of virtually any format.
A symbol of the modern era is Pavilion P, opened in 2009 – with nearly 10,000 m² of exhibition space, it is the second-largest covered hall in the Czech Republic, right after Prague’s O2 Arena.
Organizers also benefit from the professional BVV team, ready to assist with selecting the ideal venue and providing top-level supporting services.

2. Bobyhall: capacity 1.250 attendees
Bobyhall, part of the Bobycentrum complex in Brno’s broader city center, has been a legendary multifunctional venue since the early 1990s, combining sports, culture, gastronomy, and event services. Since its opening, it has established itself as a popular destination for events of all formats – from balls and concerts to congresses and corporate functions.
The largest hall offers capacity for up to 1,250 attendees in theater-style seating, 950 for cocktail receptions, or 615 guests for banquets.
Its interior offers remarkable versatility – four bars, balcony galleries, options for VIP receptions, and a stage equipped with top-tier technology, including a laser show and three giant LED screens. Continuous technical upgrades and modernization ensure a professional standard for every performance or event hosted here.
Thanks to its ideal location, easy access from the city center, and supporting facilities – including a hotel, wellness center, and free parking – Bobyhall is an outstanding choice for organizers seeking to combine comfort, prestige, and flexibility. An experienced team handles complete event coordination, from technical support to tailor-made catering.

3. Hotel Passage: capacity 1.000 attendees
Hotel Passage is one of the most sought-after conference venues in the heart of Brno, thanks to its combination of elegant design, exceptional technical facilities, and the capacity to host a wide range of event types.
The Grand Passage Ballroom is the hotel’s centerpiece – a prestigious hall accommodating up to 700 attendees in theater-style seating and up to 800 guests for receptions. In addition, six smaller meeting rooms provide flexible solutions for workshops, training sessions, business meetings, or more intimate social events.
The hotel’s total conference capacity ranges from 1,000 to 1,200 attendees, making Passage one of the city’s most capable venues for conferences, congresses, or gala evenings.
For events requiring the presentation of larger objects or showroom-style displays, the hotel offers the advantage of an indoor space with direct access from the garages. State-of-the-art AV technology, including a large LED screen and technical support suitable even for hybrid broadcasting, is also available.

4. Hotel International: capacity 900 attendees
Hotel International offers a comfortable, well-equipped conference setting in the historic center of Brno. Its congress center spans more than 1,000 m², with capacity for up to 900 attendees at large conferences and social events.
It features four interconnecting halls with a combined capacity of up to 700 people when fully joined, plus 12 smaller meeting rooms ideal for workshops, business meetings, or breakout sessions – together accommodating up to 1,200 attendees, especially when combined with foyer areas or the hotel’s restaurants.
Hotel International is an excellent choice for medium-sized conferences, gala evenings, or hybrid events hosting hundreds of guests – all in an elegant setting with first-class service, just steps away from Brno’s Špilberk Castle.

5. OREA Congress hotel: capacity 700 attendees
OREA Congress Hotel Brno is a modern business hotel located right next to the Brno Exhibition Centre, offering the largest conference halls in the region. Following an extensive renovation in 2020, it now provides guests with comfortable accommodation, stylish event spaces, and an excellent culinary experience.
The largest congress hall accommodates up to 700 attendees and can be divided into three smaller sections. By combining all the ground-floor halls, a unique banquet space is created, perfect for hosting evening receptions for up to 600 guests. The multifunctional foyer is an ideal spot for exhibition stands, cars, or other large-scale displays. For smaller events, the hotel’s meeting rooms on the first floor, all with natural daylight, are an excellent choice.
The hotel’s two restaurants serve specialties of both Czech and international cuisine. The Atrium Restaurant, located on the first floor, is primarily used for hotel breakfasts and for serving lunch and dinner during large corporate events. The luxurious Fairside à la carte restaurant and bar is the perfect place for informal gatherings or unwinding after a busy day.

And now that we’ve introduced the five biggest fixtures of today, let’s take a look into the future. New venues are on the horizon, aiming even higher in both ambition and capacity. Some are already taking shape before our eyes, while others are still awaiting their start – but one thing is certain: Brno will soon have even more room for big things.
1. Clarion Congress hotel Brno: capacity 1.000 attendees
Just a few steps from Brno’s main railway station, a new four-star congress hotel from the CPI Hotels portfolio is taking shape, set to significantly expand the city’s capacity for hosting professional, corporate, and social events. Opening is planned for April 2026.
At the heart of the new Clarion will be a modern multifunctional congress hall with capacity for up to 800 attendees, complemented by smaller meeting rooms for over 100 guests. In total, the hotel will offer facilities for events of up to 1,000 participants, placing it among the largest congress hotels in the region.
The project will also include 180 four-star guest rooms, 20 executive rooms, and a rooftop wellness center, giving guests a place to relax above the bustle of the city.
Clarion Congress Hotel Brno promises not only high-standard accommodation, but above all, top-tier technical and organizational facilities for events of all kinds – from professional conferences to gala evenings.
2. Janáček Cultural Centre: capacity 1.200 attendees
In the historic heart of Brno – between Veselá and Besední streets – a long-awaited concert hall is taking shape, set to become the new home of the Brno Philharmonic. The opening is planned for 2027.
The centerpiece of the new building will be the main hall, with seating for up to 1,200 – nearly triple the capacity of the current concert venue in Besední dům. Its acoustics have been developed in collaboration with renowned Japanese acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota, promising crystal-clear sound on par with the finest concert halls in Europe.
The building will feature six above-ground floors and three underground levels, including underground parking for approximately 170–200 vehicles, with direct access to the main foyer. In addition to its concert function, the center will also offer conference and multipurpose spaces, ideal for congresses, seminars, or gala evenings.

3. Arena Brno: capacity 13.000 attendees
Within the Brno Exhibition Centre grounds, a project is underway that will significantly redefine the city’s event venue landscape. Arena Brno, a new multifunctional hall for sports, culture, and congresses, is set for completion in 2026 – and with a capacity of up to 13,000 visitors, it will be the largest indoor venue of its kind in the entire region.
The modern arena is designed to offer maximum flexibility – from ice hockey games and concerts to trade fairs, congresses, and corporate shows. Its direct connection to the Brno Exhibition Centre will make it a key hub for major events, seamlessly integrating indoor activities with outdoor spaces and citywide programming.
