Did you miss celebrating International Women’s Day this year? No worries. In Brno and South Moravia, we’re celebrating women all year round – not just on a single day.
Over the coming years, the South Moravia Tourism Authority will place a stronger focus on women as key drivers of the travel industry. Statistics show that women are often the ones who decide where the next holiday will take place.

Women and travel: A few interesting numbers
82% – Women make up to 82% of travel decisions, from choosing the destination to planning the itinerary.
84% – Women represent the majority of solo travelers worldwide.
6.6 million vs. 5.6 million – Czech women take more long leisure trips per year than men (Czech Statistical Office, 2024).
70% – For up to 70% of women, personal safety is the most important factor when choosing a destination.
87% – The trend known as a “me-moon” – a trip focused on personal time, relaxation, self-development or mental reset – has a significant impact: 87% of women report higher self-confidence and improved wellbeing after such a trip.
Bleisure trend – Women still represent a smaller share of business travelers, but they are more likely than men to extend their work trips with leisure activities in order to truly experience the destination.
So we are embracing this trend as well. If there is a place that offers ideal conditions for women’s travel, it is South Moravia.
No other region in the Czech Republic offers quite the same combination of advantages – from the number of sunny days and open wine cellars to scenic walks through vineyards, specialty coffee and excellent gastronomy, stylish accommodation, and plenty of wellness and wellbeing moments to enjoy between meetings or events.
Programs women will truly enjoy
We have put together a selection of activities that work perfectly for women’s groups, smaller female teams, or female participants attending conferences and corporate events. Of course, this doesn’t mean excluding anyone – most of these experiences can be enjoyed by anyone looking to add a little inspiration and relaxation to their business stay.
And if a work trip happens to extend by a few extra hours or even days – which is exactly the idea behind bleisure travel – South Moravia offers plenty of opportunities to turn it into a truly memorable experience.

1. Among the vineyard rows
What do women often long for – not only when travelling? A moment when time slows down a little. A glass of good wine, a beautiful view, and pleasant company. And that’s exactly what one of South Moravia’s most iconic experiences offers: gathering right among the vineyard rows.
Imagine a long table set between the vines, a warm summer evening, the sun setting over the landscape, and a glass of sparkling wine in your hand. Or a relaxed picnic in the grass, where colleagues trade the office table for blankets and sweeping views of calming greenery. These experiences are perfect for informal networking, celebrations, or team-building, combining a great atmosphere with an authentic Moravian setting.
There are several formats to choose from: Gathering beneath the Stars, the perfect winery picnic, or a Vineyard dinner experience. Each one more tempting than the last, wouldn’t you agree?

2. Wellbeing in South Moravia: When it’s time to slow down
Travel today is no longer just about discovering new places. It is also about slowing down, recharging, and taking care of yourself. That’s why women’s wellness stays, retreats, and weekend escapes from everyday routines are becoming increasingly popular. The combination of movement, good food, nature, and moments of calm creates the perfect setting for relaxation while also strengthening team connections.
South Moravia offers the ideal backdrop for this: vineyards, sunshine, outstanding gastronomy, and a range of stylish wellness venues that host yoga stays, women’s retreats, and wellbeing weekends throughout the year.
Here are a few inspiring places where you can experience such a program: Hotel Ryzlink, located at the foot of the Pálava hills, offers beautiful views of Svatý kopeček (Holy Hill) and an atmosphere where wine accompanies guests at every step. This includes their wine wellness, featuring a Finnish sauna, wine bio-sauna, wine baths, and even a hot tub under the stars. Another wellness hotel known for its grape-based cosmetics and wine wellness treatments that combine relaxation with local wine tradition is Hotel Amande in Hustopeče. Many visitors head to Chateau de Frontiere mainly for its exceptional gastronomy, but the complex also offers a pleasant wellness area that is perfect for a women’s retreat.
Near the Brno Water Reservoir, you can visit Maximus Resort with its extensive outdoor sauna world, Hotel Atlantis with its unique outdoor pool featuring a fire pit in the middle, or OREA Resort Santon, which offers wellness facilities and breathtaking views. For beer lovers, the obvious choice is Hotel Sladovna in Černá Hora, where you can also enjoy their original beer spa experience.

3. Add some movement to the program
After wine tastings and wellness moments, it might be time to stretch your legs a little. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to do so while keeping it enjoyable rather than demanding. An active program can be a great addition to a team-building event – it gets everyone moving, creates shared experiences, and often brings plenty of laughter and memorable moments.
The region’s network of wine cycling trails invites you to set out on relaxed bike rides through the countryside. Routes wind between vineyards, charming villages, and scenic viewpoints, and each group can set the pace that suits them best. Stops for coffee, wine, or light refreshments are almost a must along the way.
For those who prefer a slower pace, walking programs are an excellent option. A growing trend is modern pilgrimage – travelling through the landscape without necessarily having a religious purpose, but rather as a way to slow down, reflect, and discover the stories of a place. Pilgrimage routes lead through vineyards, historic towns, and quiet corners of the countryside, offering an inspiring way for groups to combine movement with a deeper connection to the destination.

If you’re in the mood for something more dynamic, head to the water. Paddleboarding offers a relaxed way to enjoy time on the surface, dragon boat racing is perfect for testing team spirit and cooperation, and jetsurfing delivers a real adrenaline rush for those who want to try something a little out of the ordinary.
4. Adventures you won’t forget
Looking to add a little more adrenaline and adventure to your program? Something that will leave a truly lasting impression? We have a few ideas. One unique experience is the speleoferrata®, which combines a via ferrata with cave exploration deep underground. Another option is the Velká Dohoda adventure park in the Moravian Karst, offering a wide range of outdoor activities—from rope obstacles and via ferrata routes to various team challenges.
If you feel most at home near the water, consider canoeing down the Dyje River. Its calm current winds through picturesque landscapes of floodplain forests and vineyards, offering beautiful views and pleasant stops along the way. It’s an ideal activity for groups: the pace is relaxed, there’s plenty of space for conversation and laughter, and paddling together naturally strengthens team spirit.
5. Creating with joy
To wrap things up, it’s time to slow the pace and bring creativity into the program. Let your imagination run free and give space to the artist within you who may just be waiting for her moment. During a creative art workshop, participants can explore different techniques, immerse themselves in the process of making something new, and take home an original interior decoration as a reminder of the shared experience.
Another popular activity is the Symphony of scents, where participants create their own personal perfume while discovering the fascinating world of fragrances under the guidance of experts. A similar experience is offered through aromatherapy workshops, where participants explore the effects of essential oils and create their own aromatic blends or everyday care products. The program is both relaxing and inspiring, combining the art of working with scents, learning about natural ingredients, and enjoying a moment of mindful focus.
Floral workshops also create a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere, allowing participants to design stylish arrangements or bouquets under the guidance of professional florists.

If the group is in the mood for something truly original, they can try a costume program at Chateau Austerlitz or Milotice Chateau, where participants dress in historical costumes and step back in time for a while. Walking through chateau interiors or gardens in period dresses has a special charm—and who knows, for a moment you might just feel like a princess from a historical novel.
That’s exactly what it’s all about. Stepping out of the usual work routine for a while, sharing a meaningful experience, and discovering something new—whether it’s a place, an activity, or even your own creativity. Programs outside the conference room often bring the most memorable moments of any event.
We also know that coming up with and organizing such a program isn’t always easy. We’re here to help. Our team is made up of women as well, so we understand what kinds of experiences truly resonate with groups. If you’re looking for inspiration or support with organizing a program in Brno and the surrounding region, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d be happy to help you create a program that is engaging, inspiring, and truly memorable.
